Thanks to everyone who continues to check up on me even though I have been really absent and missing lately. We have been busy renovating our back room lifting tiles and adding floorboards, a new door through the back wall to the pool, new bench tops and lounges etc.....it has been like living in a bomb site. the timber floor got laid this week but there is still ,much work to do before we can move back into this area.
I managed to get down the South Coast for 3 days with the kids and my closest friend and her gorgeous daughter. We had a lovely break and I did manage to start 2 LO's which were getting close to their deadlines. I then came back for one night and then flew to Tasmania for a long weekend with both my parents and my sister. My sister and I were born in Launceston and my parents wanted to take us back to see where we were born and where we lived. It was a fabulous few days following the Tamar River and visiting a winery whilst hearing Mum and Dad talk about their time down there. It is really a very beautiful part of the world and i could definitely see myself living there.
A very sad thing happened on our last day outside the house where we lived....my camera was dropped and yep it broke. I was devastated.....anyway I have had to get another one and was really hoping that the budget would stretch to a Canon 350D but unfortunately with the renovations and stuff and new camera was not in the budget and definitely that camera and so I got a Panasonic Lumix DZ7. With 6 mp and a 12 x optical zoom and many SLR features I am quite happy with it and have been promised a 350D with the next purchase....not bad for a SAHM!!!!!
I have been scrapping again after trying to get a small break (thanks Sasha!!!!) and I would love to be able to share some of the stuff I have done but 1. I can't because they will be revealed at Scrapabout Australia's VIP night this week and 2. because I haven't been able to take pictures of anything....LOL.
Well the kids are back to school this week and so hopefully some bit of normality will return to my routine.....hah...not with my home in this state. I have never wanted to clean and tidy as much as i do now!!!!! Lastly a huge thank you to everyone who has emailed me checking if I was OK...and for putting up with my melancholy.......and congrats to Ngaire for raising over $7000 for breast cancer. I was lucky enough to win a prize which is very exciting. You are truly an amazing woman and I know you would also like me to acknowledge ever person who donated. Thank you!!!!! Don't forget to check out the How Dare You Blog to check out the amazing work being posted this week inspired by Teesha Moore.
